Gillespie County High School is a credit recovery and drop-out prevention program offered to Fredericksburg ISD students. Diplomas are earned by meeting the state of Texas requirements for their individual graduation plans.
We are not an open-enrollment campus. Gillespie County High School students must meet the state at-risk criteria to be considered for the program. Students interested in this program must complete an application and must meet with their school counselor to request a referral to the program. If a referral is made, students will be contacted by GCHS for an interview.
Students will have opportunities to develop skills in resume writing, interviewing, career research, work place ethics, and professional development. Students will acquire the skills to become productive citizens in a vastly changing society. The school will endeavor to provide students opportunities to meet with local business professionals and visit with college and military recruiters.
