Paulette Petersen is a Wilson Dyslexia Therapist with Level I and II Certification with Wilson Reading System.  She has been a dyslexia specialist for FISD for 16 years serving students with dyslexia on all campuses and grade levels.  She is also now trained with Reading By Design, which is the current program she is using. Her teaching experiences include teaching Pre-K, K, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades.  Paulette has also taught individual students at a dyslexia camp for 3 summers for 5 weeks each.  This training included the Orton Gillingham approach for successful reading and writing.  Her favorite as a classroom teacher was teaching Kindergarten.  Now, her passion is teaching students who have dyslexia.  She loves seeing dyslexia students "blossom" with their unusual "right brain" talents.  Watching students use the "tools" they need for reading, spelling and writing to be successful is wonderfully rewarding.
