Inclement Weather Procedures
Weather in Central Texas can be unpredictable and bring conditions that may impact our community and subsequently bring changes to the instructional day at Fredericksburg ISD campuses.
As inclement weather is predicated and approaches, the District will follow its Inclement Weather Protocols to determine if an adjustment to the instructional day is necessary to ensure student, staff, and community safety.
In the event school must be canceled, delayed, or dismissed early due to inclement weather, the decision to do so will be made by 5:00 a.m. Once the decision has been made to close, delay, or dismiss early, the media will be notified and communication will be sent to all parents and guardians. Please check the local news, radio stations, or the FISD website www.fisd.org for the most current information.
If the normal schedule is followed, but there is inclement weather, staff, students, and parents are urged to use caution when traveling to school. Be safe and take your time.
