It is with a heavy heart that I write to you about the passing of Mrs. Hillary Rabke, a second-grade teacher at Fredericksburg Elementary School (FES). Mrs. Rabke’s dedication to education and her students was unparalleled, and her loss is deeply felt across our school district.

Mrs. Rabke was more than an educator; she was a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to her colleagues and students alike. Her commitment to creating a nurturing environment made a lasting impact on countless young lives.

We are thrilled to announce that our Fredericksburg ISD Marching Band has earned a first-place finish at the Area Competition, securing a spot in the State Marching Contest! Their hard work, dedication, and talent have brought immense pride to our community, and they will now represent Fredericksburg at the Alamodome on November 13th.

With Billie Pride at the heart of our community, we are offering an early release on November 13th at 12:00 p.m. for Fredericksburg High School students. This will allow students and families the time to travel to the Alamodome and fill the stands in support of our band. For families with students at other campuses, you may submit a written absence request to have your child’s absence marked as excused, should they wish to attend and support our band in San Antonio.
