Lunch Account

School Nutrition Services recognizes the strong relationship between nutrition and learning. To support this relationship, School Nutrition Services seeks to provide nutritious meals made from quality products that are acceptable to students.

The cafeteria offers a prepayment plan in all schools. Any amount may be deposited into the student's account and the balance is reduced each time an item is purchased. Payments can be made by cash or check at the school cafeteria or by credit/debit card online at MySchoolBucks.com.

MySchoolBucks has a small convenience fee that will be charged for credit/debit card transactions.

You can check your student's account balance or set up low balance alerts at MySchoolBucks.com. There is no charge for this service.

School Lunch Menu

Fredericksburg ISD School Nutrition may still have some continued supply shortages throughout the 2023-24 school year. The supply chain shortages have been a nationwide issue. These shortages may affect the breakfast and lunch menus. Menus may not be correct at all times, but we will do our best to make sure substitutions are noted. Also, you can check with your school cafeteria for any daily menu changes.

School Lunch Assistance

Your children may be eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals. Families are encouraged to submit an application anytime during the school year. Applying for this benefit is easy and confidential using our online application system. A new application must be submitted each school year.

Charge Policy

Did you know that FISD School Nutrition Services serves approximately 3,000 Total Meals a Day? We are meeting the needs of our customers through new expanded food choices and good customer service.

We take great pride in ensuring that Quality, Service, and Value are served with every meal. School Nutrition Services has a fiscal responsibility to comply with Federal Guidelines. To meet this obligation, parents/guardians are responsible for purchases made by their student(s) in the cafeteria.

Fredericksburg Independent School District intends that children not be hungry at school; however, it is the responsibility of parents or guardians to provide their children’s lunch or breakfast or pay for meals provided by your school.

PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING FISD CHARGE POLICY / GRACE PERIOD:

All Students – Your child will only be allowed a maximum of three (3) meal charges. After your child has accrued three (3) meal charges, your child may receive an alternate meal consisting of a peanut butter or cheese sandwich and milk. There is a $1.00 charge for the alternate meal. An alternate breakfast meal consists of cereal and milk at a $.75 charge. Students will continue to receive this alternate meal until all cafeteria charges are paid. Low balance notices may be emailed or sent home to remind you that your child needs money in their account.

Negative balance notices will be e-mailed or sent home as needed. You may view your child’s balance and/or charges online at http://www.myschoolbucks.com (you will need to set up a free account).

You may also call the School Nutrition Office at 997-8589 for balance information. The following forms of payment are accepted in the school cafeteria to ensure your student has breakfast and lunch available: Cash, Checks, Money Orders, or you may pay online with Credit/Debit Cards at http://www.myschoolapps.com.

Please remember you may apply for free or reduced meals online anytime during the year.

Refunds and/or Transfer of Funds

Funds remaining in student accounts at the end of the school year will roll over for the following school year. However, under the program guideline, all outstanding/unpaid meal balances must be paid prior to the last day of this school year.

In addition, food service staff will not accept any charges on meal accounts effective the first week of May. This is effective district-wide. We encourage you to maintain your child's account throughout the rest of the school year.

Refunds/transfers/donations:

 Refunds are only given with a request form signed by the parent/guardian.

 Cash refunds (under $20) can be given at your child’s school cafeteria prior to breakfast and lunch.

 If cash is unavailable, a check request will be submitted for any amount over $20. A request form will need to be completed and returned to the campus cafeteria by mail or email.

 To request transfers from one account to another, a request form will need to be completed and returned to the campus cafeteria or mailed to: FISD School Nutrition Department, 234 Friendship Lane, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.

Now, more kids in Texas can start the school day with a healthy school breakfast.

Beginning Sept. 1 and continuing through the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years, students who qualify for reduced-price meals will receive breakfast at no cost.

The reduced price ($.40) for lunch still remains.
